Wooden box

Box, wood; H: 12 cm, diameter 29 cm; loan from Christof and Marie Noel Frei-Pont
Turned containers are used for storing food, or as eating bowls by highly placed personalities. A crack is mended with red wax.

Military equiment

Spear, wood, iron; L: 180 cm; loan from Lyonpo Sangay Ngedup
Spears were dreaded weapons in close combat.

Oboes (gyaling), copper, silver, wood; H: 60 cm; loan from the National Museums & Galleries on Merseyside, Liverpool
Oboes are always played in pairs. They are mostly used in combination with long horns.
