Buddhism shows the path out of the cycle of rebirths and demands a moral-ethical way of living.
Our worldly existence ultimately means misery, transience and death. As long as a human being remains in the cycle of rebirths, this is repeated in each new life. The release from the ever-lasting cycle lies in stopping the deceptive variety of worldly appearances and in freeing oneself from the idea of one's own self. This can only be attained in meditation.
